Toshihiro Oshima (TommyOshima) (a list international photographer):
"each of his photos just came straight into my heart like a lightening.
... I recognize him to be one of the best photographers who can slice the shades and shadows of our reality with his vision. People should come see, feel, touch what he sees through the crystal elements of the eye. Bravo Edward!"

“Colonia Porvenir” (photographer and photography critic):

“you've got the talent to be well worth your slice of their humungous pie.
Most of the hangers-on like so called interior designers, and fitness consultants etc,
and all the rest of them that the horrendously wealthy spend (waste?) their gross riches on,
are relying on grease and horsesh*t to peddle something that's usually utterly worthless.
You're giving them something genuinely creative, and durable, and unique,
and really truly valuable.
Your photography is a god-damned cast-iron Investment!
They're getting a bargain whatever you sting them for.
You dip your bread in that gravy, my son, while it's good'n hot !!!”
Nick Burns (photographer):
"In an age where the capture process is continually pushed toward the clinical and sterile, thank god we have Edward Olive to save us. His experimentation and the results achieved are a rare treasure we can't afford to take for granted."

"What is Edward Olive? He is inspiration, a restless, roving eye in search of truth. He is generosity of spirit, a photographer and a gentleman and one who is only too willing to share the elements of his artistic makings as he supports the work of others. But beware! Authentic to the core, he suffers no fakes or fools: you would be hard-pressed to find one who expresses himself with greater honesty about art/artifice, life and love through his images.
As imperfect and “retro” as it may be, film is his medium of choice. In an age that celebrates and privileges all things digital, is Edward Olive a reactionary? No. A rebel? Perhaps. Better to say that he is purist, but only in the best sense of the word. Keenly observant and fearlessly experimental, nothing escapes his attention. Edward does not simply record the world around him: he probes it, but with a signature elegance and grace. Fascinated with the whispers, mumurs and mutability of the human heart, he takes us deep into what he sees. . . and causes us to gaze in wonder at his magic."

"his photos say a lot with the framing, colours, sharp lines, light or smoky atmosphere. I couldn't agree more with his comment once: everybody can take a picture, but to understand the process of the creation of art is for a few selected people. I believe he's in that group.
I come everyday to nurture my spirit with this art. I'm never disappointed but highly inspired instead."
